A handful of owners of have messaged me publicly about this idea, as well as a few who have brought it up in the GroupMe chat. I think it would be worthwhile to have an open discussion board like this to talk about it, that way it won't get lost in the other groupchat.
This is mainly just to gauge everyone's interest and then once we see what we'd actually like to do then we can work on defining the rules for whatever we choose to do going forward. To keep it pretty basic, here's a short write up of each of the poll options:

These can get pretty confusing and it might be difficult to do in a league like this but I am open to any suggestions you guys may have. Please vote on the poll above and then if you can, just leave your ideas/comments/suggestions below. None of this will be changed until the 2020 offseason anyway so there is no need to worry about how it will affect your team. 2021 draft picks won't be able to be traded until after this is settled anyway so if you have an opinion please leave it down below.

- Interested in Pick Swaps Only -- Implementing pick swaps would mean that when the two owners agree to a trade, there is typically not a draft pick actually switching hands, but when the draft does roll around, it means that one team will receive the better of the two picks (higher in round) and the other will receive whichever pick is worse (lower in round).

- Interested in Pick Protections Only -- Adding pick protection would mean that when a team agrees to trade a pick, they can add a protection to it so that they have a chance of retaining the pick (if it high enough). For example, I could trade away my 2021 1st round pick to the Pacers, but have it Top-5 protected - this would mean that the Pacers get my pick if it is anywhere from 6-30, while I would get it back if it is 1-5. (We would need to decide if picks would defer to the next year if they don't convey or if there would just be no compensation at all for the Pacers in that scenario)
- Interested in Both Swaps and Protections -- Just adding both pick swaps and protections as described above.
- No Interest in Either, Fine with Current Rules -- No change at all from what we have now.
